As you know we are still experiencing a lot of difficulties with vehicles parked opposite and outside the entrance to our school making it difficult for traffic to pass school safely. We are trying to resolve this problem however this is taking some time. Meanwhile, could we ask if you could be vigilant when dropping your child off in the mornings and picking up at the end of the day and use the Pavilions car park. We must ask that you do not park in the bus bays outside school or use the school car park as this is used during the day for deliveries, visitors and disabled drivers and can become very busy and unsafe for children crossing the car park to use the computing suite.
Foundation Stage – Help!
One of our red ‘interactive’ whiteboard pens is missing. Please can you check at home that it has not been brought home by your child.
If you have any clean and empty materials ie boxes, yoghurt pots, kitchen/wrapping rolls etc (no toilet roll, egg boxes or medication boxes), please can you bring them to the unit. Any appropriate items for model building would be appreciated. If your child would like a piece of flapjack on ‘Chewy Tuesday’, please can they bring 20p with them that morning. Thank you.
Foundation Stage Places
Please remember to apply for your child’s school place in our Foundation Stage (F2/Reception) before January 15th 2018. If you know of any children who want to apply for Foundation 1 (Nursery), please ask for a registration form from the school office. If you have any problems filling in the form please ask at the office and we will help you to complete the form in school.

School Day Organisation
We have a lot of pupils that are forgetting to bring PE kits to school on Mondays and reading books and other work that is necessary for the school day. Please ensure that your child is bringing their school work and PE kit, which consists of a white top and dark shorts (Not a football top) and trainers or plimsolls.
Please can we remind children that Reading and Literature Circles have to be completed each week and please can parents sign the Year 6 plannners and comment if appropriate on a weekly basis.
As you know pupil attendance is imperative in order that they do not miss any of their lessons during the academic year. We must ask that children are brought to school between 8.45am and 8.55am. The school registers close at 9.30am, if your child arrives after this time they will be marked as an unauthorised absence. If your child is ill or has a medical appointment please call the school office by 9.30am. Individual attendance letters will be sent in the new year. In school we take attendance seriously and have many children who achieve the 100% Attendance certificate at the end of every academic year. The attendance in school at present reads :
Year 6 – 97.8%
Year 5 – 95.8%
Year 4 – 95.7%
Year 3 – 96.3%
Year 2 – 95.7%
Year 1 – 94.8%
F2 – 94.5%
Well Done to Year 6!!
