English

Over this term we will be working hard on developing our descriptions of both characters and settings. We will be developing our use of a range of punctuation and using different types of sentences through our writing.

PE

This Summer Term, we will be working on our understanding of the skills used across sports for Net and Wall games and striking and fielding activities. We will be also focusing on our Athletics skills later in the term. We have lots of exciting events planned including our area Quadkids Event, Mini Olympics and our Sports Day! We can’t wait!

ART and DT

This Summer Term, we will be taking a look at a local artist’s work - Lucy Pittaway. We will be working with the Year 1 class to create artwork inspired by her. In DT we will be following in the footsteps of Ossiri (Our main character in our book) and creating our own musical instruments from recycled objects. We are looking forward to what they may sound like.

SEAL, Every Child Matters and PSHE&C

Our topics this year include; Changes, Moving On and Enjoying and Achieving. We are looking forward to debating many issues and our school council members are still working hard with Mrs Byrne to develop our school even further.

Our School Council Representatives this year are Peggy-Anne and Ethan.

Science

Over the next few weeks our new topic will be Plants. We will be researching famous scientists and carrying our many investigations and experiments along the way.

Keep checking this page for more updates as we will hopefully have some new photographs to show.

As we are still early into our half term - please keep checking back to find more updates. Soon we will hopefully have examples of work from the children and photographs of our learning journey.

Thank you for your continued support.

Mr Armstrong, Miss Moss, Mrs Bennett and Miss Wallace.
